Celebrity Heads is a free online version of the classic party guessing game — the one everyone's played at least once with sticky notes on their forehead. We've stripped out the paper, the pens and the "who can read your handwriting" arguments, and turned it into something you can run on any phone in about three seconds.
No app to download. No account to sign up for. No ads jammed in the middle. Open the page, type in your players' names, and you're playing.
Celebrity Heads is built and maintained by Greenshoots Media, a small digital agency based on the Central Coast in New South Wales, Australia. Brad Banks runs the studio and writes the code.
The game started life as a side project to keep a long family Christmas afternoon moving. It worked well enough that we cleaned it up and put it online so everyone else could use it too.
Because party games shouldn't cost money. The site runs on Greenshoots Media's existing infrastructure and the only thing it sends back to us is anonymous, cookie-free traffic analytics (via Fathom) so we know it's actually being played. There's no tracking, no profiles, no data collection beyond that.
If you'd like to support the project, the best way is to tell a friend or share the link. If you'd like to send feedback, the email link in the game footer goes straight to Brad.
Two or more players, one phone, sixty seconds on the clock. Hold the phone to your forehead, your friends can see the name, you can't — ask yes/no questions to guess who you are.
Full rules are on the How to Play page.
